NEW Too Faced La Creme Lipsticks: Review and Swatches

I'm back once again today to review a few of the new Too Faced La Creme lipsticks that launched recently. There was a lot of hype about these lipsticks in the beauty community initially and I was interested to see what they were all about. Keep reading to find out my thoughts and check out my swatches below!

Too Faced La Creme lipsticks, or color drenched lip creams as the packaging refers to them, are a hydrating, glossy line of pigmented lip colors. Too Faced describes them as moisturizing and having lotus flower and power peptides within the formula. I definitely find these to be some of the more moisturizing lipsticks I've tried. That being said, these tend to wear for about 4 hours on me before I need to touch them up. I don't mind that though, as I prefer lipstick formulas to feel comfortable on the lips like these do.

I've found that these leave a gorgeous glossy finish and feel good on the lips after application. They have quickly become my most reached for lip products and I think Too Faced really hit it out of the park with these. If you're going to splurge on a lipstick, I would try these. The color range is great too, from nudes to reds, pinks and even dark wine shades (great for Fall!). At $21, these are a great investment because they can be worn with anything and there's a shade to suit everyone's taste. You can find these at ULTA or Sephora.

The four shades I selected are Juicy Melons, Fuchsia Shock, Marshmallow Bunny and Spice Spice Baby. Juicy Melons is a pretty coral-pink shade that I find to be more wearable than most corals. Fuchsia Shock packs a punch with its glossy hot pink hue. Marshmallow Bunny is a nice soft baby pink. I find this shade to be my least favorite of the four I purchased, but only because it has a tendency to mute out my natural lip color, making me look more pale (if that's possible). I remedy this by sheering it out with a gloss over top. Last is Spice Spice Baby, easily my favorite of the four and the most wearable shade I own. It's a pretty nude cinnamon shade that adds the perfect amount of warmth to my lips.

Overall, I am really loving these lip creams and recommend them to anyone who's in the market for a new lipstick. I can't wait to get more shades (Naked Dolly for sure!). I hope you found this review helpful and as always, thanks for stopping by!

XOXO, Taylar
